Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has been covering wars, natural disasters over the past 45 years, focuses on the hardships of the people within these zones. Curry is a reporter from conflict zones of Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. Ann Curry (born on November 19th in 1956 in the city of Agana) is an American anchor, television reporter and journalist. Curry was perhaps most well-known for her work as a reporter on The Today Show, a daily morning newscast produced by the National Broadcasting Co. Curry was noted especially for her work on reporting emergencies in war-torn regions and natural disasters. Curry was born in Japan and was brought up by an Japanese mother. Her father was a U.S. Navy sailor. Her parents met while her father was in Japan following World War II. Because of her father's work as a military officer and the frequent moves they made. Curry was a student at the secondary school in Ashland Oregon. In 1978 she graduated of in the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in journalism. It is possible that she learned to communicate with empathy through her exposure to various cultures as a child. Ann Curry is a well-known American anchor and journalist with NBC. Her travels took her to many locales including San Diego Alameda Oregon and Virginia. Ashland was her final high school. In Medford in the year 2000, she began her career in broadcasting when she was an KTVL Channel 10 intern. When she was 22, she was the station's the first newscaster female. Following that, she went on to become an anchor and reporter for KGW which is an NBC affiliate station in Portland. She moved back to Los Angeles four years later in the role of a reporter at KCBS TV. During her time with the channel for 6 years that she was awarded the two Emmy Awards.
